PURPOSE: A data input/output device of a PLC(Power Line Communication) modem is provided to detect a standing wave ratio, and to actively match impedance such that a reflected wave becomes minimal according to size of the detected standing wave ratio, thereby improving a transmission efficiency of data. CONSTITUTION: An LAN integrated element(200) outputs/inputs transmission/reception data. A transmitter(210) transmits the transmission data to a power line(100a). A receiver(220) receives the reception data, and inputs the data to the element(200). The transmitter(210) comprises as follows. The first LAN integrated element connector(211) inputs the transmission data. The first pickup unit(215) picks up the transmission data. The first impedance controller(217) detects a standing wave ratio, varies an output impedance, and transmits the picked transmission data to the power line(100a). The receiver(220) comprises as follows. The second impedance controller(221) detects the standing wave ratio, varies an input impedance, and inputs the reception data. The second pickup unit(223) picks up the reception data. The second LAN integrated element connector(227) inputs the picked reception data to the element(200).
