PLASTIC HOUSING FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT WITH METAL FILM COATED ON INNER SIDE OF PLASTIC ELEMENT

PURPOSE: A plastic housing for an electronic equipment is provided to isolate harmful electromagnetic wave by coating a metal film on an inner side of a plastic element. CONSTITUTION: A layer for enhancing adhesive strength is formed on a surface of a plastic housing(102). A metal layer is selectively coated through a metal mask on parts of the plastic housing including an upper portion of the plastic housing, an upper portion of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), and a lower portion of a key pad. Gold(161) and Nickel(162) are continuously coated on an inner side of the plastic housing through vacuum coating. The thickness of Gold and Nickel is 4000Å. A color of the plastic housing is determined by a color of Gold and Nickel. An organic/inorganic hard coating(171) is coated on an outer side of the plastic housing to prevent physical and chemical damage.
