PURPOSE: A position tracking system of a mobile communication terminal using an AC(Access Channel) receiver is provided to receive a geography-based service without changing a terminal in a mobile communication subscriber, and to enable a more exact position tracking, thereby supplying a more active and exact geography-based service. CONSTITUTION: Plural AC receivers(100) are installed within one base station cell area, receive wireless signals delivered through an AC of a mobile communication terminal(50), and detect receiving strength of the wireless signal and a terminal ID. A position confirmation server(200) prestores positions where each AC receiver(100) is installed, receives the terminal ID and the receiving strength to identify an AC receiver(100) having the biggest receiving strength, and detects a position of the identified AC receiver(100) as a current position of the mobile communication terminal(50). |
