DEVICE FOR CONDITIONING SLUDGE BY ZETA POTENTIAL CONTROL AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: To increase release rate of bound water from sludge by reducing zeta potential of sludge, thereby improving dewatering efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a sludge thickening tank(10) increasing the concentration of sludge solids, a sludge electrolysis tank(30) where the sludge flown in from the sludge thickening tank is retained in a space for electrically conditioning the sludge for 10-60 minutes, an electrolysis part where an insoluble positive plate and a negative plate performing an electrolysis reaction are alternatively installed on the inner part of the sludge electrolysis tank at 1-5 cm intervals, a power source(50) constantly supplying a direct current in a current density amount of 5-7 ampere/cm¬2 to the electrolysis part and a sludge dewaterer(60) dewatering the conditioned sludge by the sludge electrolysis tank.
