PURPOSE: A method for controlling an LCD element is provided to reset an LCD window when processing a display at certain intervals, in order to normally operate an LCD all the time, thereby improving product stability without displaying an error character caused by noise on the LCD window. CONSTITUTION: A system selects all functions of an LCD through a function key of an operational panel in an initial LCD routine step(S10). When a function item is selected, the system clears all contents of the LCD to reset an LCD window(S20), and delays an LCD operation(S30). When a certain time elapses, the system continuously performs the LCD operation, and carries out other interrupt function except the LCD operation(S40,S50). The system calls an initial command of the LCD(S60), sets characters on a counter to display the characters(S70,S80), and displays one character in an initial position of the LCD(S90). The system controls remaining characters by reducing the counter by 1(S100), and moves a pointer to a next display position(S110). The system decides whether a value of the counter is 0(S120).
