PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve an image quality by shortening a discharging delay time. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first and a second substrate(11,1) spaced apart from each other; a plurality of address electrodes(13) formed on the first substrate; a first dielectric layer(15) covered the address electrodes and formed on the first substrate; a plurality of sidewalls(17) for forming discharge space; a phosphor layer(19) formed inside of the discharge space; a plurality of discharge sustain electrodes(3) formed on the second substrate; a second dielectric layer(7) covered the discharge sustain electrodes and formed on the second substrate; and a protection layer(9) for coating the second dielectric layer and containing MgO and Si and Fe dopant elements.
