PURPOSE: A composite synchronizing signal generating circuit is provided to supply a composite synchronizing signal to a digital-analog converter using a plurality of exclusive OR gates. CONSTITUTION: A composite synchronizing signal generating circuit includes a horizontal synchronizing signal input unit(10), a vertical synchronizing signal input unit(20), and a composite synchronizing signal generator. The horizontal synchronizing signal input unit receives a horizontal synchronizing signal and outputs the signal with a constant positive phase. The vertical synchronizing signal input unit receives a vertical synchronizing signal and outputs the signal with a constant positive phase. The composite synchronizing signal generator receives the signals output from the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signal input units and exclusive-ORs the received signals to output a composite synchronizing signal.
