MIRROR FOR OPTOELECTRONIC DETECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF A VEHICLE

The invention relates to a novel component for the optoelectronic detection of the environment of a vehicle. Camera-based environment detections systems are already used in vehicles. The original design of the vehicle is, however, altered when said type of camera is placed on to the vehicles. The inventive component comprises a mirror (6) for the optoelectronic detection of the environment of a vehicle. The mirror (6) reflects the optical rays such that said rays expand after being reflected in the direction of the camera chip. The mirror (6) also comprises a fixing means (7) for arrangement on the outer skin of the vehicle and on vehicle add-ons (1). The device for detecting the environment can be integrated in a simple manner into a vehicle due to said modular structure, thereby enabling the original design of the vehicle to remain practically unchanged.
