PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to reduce the emission of undesired light by controlling the pulse width of a stabilization pulse supplied during the reset period. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel is characterized in that the pulse width of at least one stabilization pulse is controlled according to the values of the average luminance levels, wherein said at least one stabilization pulse is supplied to a scan electrode(Y) and a sustain electrode(Z) during a stabilization period. And, the plasma display panel is driven by dividing a reset period(RPD) into a front side writing period(RPD1) and a stabilization period(RPD2). |
