A compound characterized by comprising a sialic acid glycoside of biflavonoi d. The sialic acid glycoside of biflavonoid shows an anti-influenza virus activity not only in an in vitro system using cultured cells but also in an in vivo system using a mouse. Thus, it is useful as a preventive or a remedy fo r influenza and, moreover, useful in foods and drinks for preventing or treati ng influenza.
