LRR GENE FROM CAPSICUM ANNUUM. L. CV. HANBYUL HAVING NUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCE SET FORTH IN SEQ ID NO:2 AND USE THEREOF AS MARKER

PURPOSE: A LRR(leucine-rich repeat protein) gene from Capsicum annuum. L. cv. Hanbyul and the use thereof as a marker are provided, thereby inducing resistance against plant diseases or environmental stresses. CONSTITUTION: The LRR(leucine-rich repeat protein) gene derived from Capsicum annuum. L. cv. Hanbyul has the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2. A vector for plant transformation comprises the LRR gene of SEQ ID NO:2. A method for detecting the infection of pathogenic bacteria causing plant disease comprises detecting mRNA of LRR gene of SEQ ID NO:2 in a host cell transformed with the vector for plant transformation, wherein the pathogenic bacteria causing plant disease are selected from red pepper bacterial spot causing bacteria, virulent phytophthora blight causing bacteria, non-virulent phytophthora blight causing bacteria and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides.
