PURPOSE: A copy protection image processing system is provided to process an image including a copy protection signal accurately and rapidly irrespective of noise. CONSTITUTION: A copy protection image processing system includes a signal receiver(31) for receiving a video signal, a copy protection signal checking unit(32) for integrating a synchronous signal component of the output signal of the signal receiver and checking whether a copy protection signal is included in response to the integrated level, a scaler(37) for converting the format of the input video signal, and a signal processor(33) for processing the input video signal such that the scaler processes the video signal. The image processor further includes a copy protection signal removal unit(34) for removing the copy protection signal from the output signal of the signal receiver, a switch(35) for selectively outputting one of the output signal of the signal receiver and the output signal of the copy protection signal removal unit to the signal processor in response to a switching control signal, and a microcomputer(38) for controlling the overall operation of the image processor and outputting the switching control signal.
