It is intended to provide a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition containing a pharmacologically active substance which can control the absorbability of the pharmacologically active substance and exert the drug effect of the pharmacologically active substance over a long time in the cas e of administered into the lung. Namely, a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition for lung administration which contains a pharmacologically activ e substance available in lung administration and carrageenan, a process for producing the same and its use.
