PURPOSE: A method for controlling a source drive integrated circuit in a liquid crystal display device is provided to easily realize a selection of parts and a circuit design as well as to prevent a fuse short and the malfunction of a liquid crystal panel from occurring owing to an overcurrent. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a source drive integrated circuit in a liquid crystal display device is characterized in that a load signal is generated at a time passing predetermined frames after a polarity control signal is generated and is applied to a plurality of source drive integrated circuits, respectively. The source driver integrated circuit is provided with a liquid crystal panel, at least one source driver units(100,200) including a plurality of source drive integrated circuits, and a timing controller for generating the load signal and the polarity control signal to the plurality of source drive integrated circuits included in at least more than one source driver units(100,200).
