The system has a control network (1) with test servers (4-7) connected to a control server (3). The test servers generate traffic of test data on a computer network. The test servers perform testing of load and/or test functions of equipment of the computer network. The server (3) controls the test servers to implement a set of test phases for the equipment of the computer network. An Independent claim is also included for a method for testing an assembly of equipment of a computer network.
