The invention relates to a metal structure having a display region being a second region and being integrated with another region being a first region, said first region not being a display region. The metal structure may constitute a monolithic structure of an information display unit, preferably a front panel of an electronic device The display region is formed by providing a cluster of small non-through-going holes in the metal structure, leaving a very small thickness of material, said thickness being translucent. The invention also relates to a method of producing such metal structure and to uses of said display unit.
