CLEANING AND PROTECTING COMPOSITION WITH ANTIOXIDANT AND UV LIGHT RESISTANCE AND METHOD OF USE

An aqueous composition suitable as an automobile exterior cleaner comprisi ng about 1% to about 5% by weight of an alkyl glycoside surfactant; from about 0.05% to about 5% by weight of an antioxidant; from about 0.02 to about 5% b y weight of an ultraviolet absorber; from about 0.01 to about 10% by weight of a commercially available surfactant blend; from about 0.005% to about 1% by weight of an antimicrobial preservative; from about 0% by weight to about 8% by weight of magnesium chloride or magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, and the balance of the formulation being water with less that 2% by weight of the formulation being fragrance and colorant components. The composition reduces dulling of the gloss caused by antioxidants and ultraviolet light.
