PURPOSE: Methods for measuring a vehicle weight and identifying an overweight vehicle using a vehicle weight measurement device are provided to precisely measure the vehicle weight while reducing cost thereof. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle weight measurement device(200) having a shear-deformation detecting sensor is installed below a pavement road so as to measure a weight of a vehicle(400) when the vehicle passes through the pavement road. A vehicle weight display unit(220) is connected to the vehicle weight measurement device(200) so as to convert a deformation of the shear-deformation detecting sensor into an electric value and display the electric value as a waveform.
