<p>The round (1a) consists of a basically cylindrical case (2a) with its neck having an inner diameter (D2) of between 9.40 and 9.64 mm to receive a cartridge (3a) with a density below that of lead. An inner diameter of 9.53 mm would be compatible with a rifled barrel core of .375 inches. The case in made from a material selected from the group comprising brass, copper, aluminum, alloys of copper and aluminum, steel and synthetic materials. The cartridge can be made from bismuth, copper, aluminum or alloys of these, extra soft fritted steels, or synthetic materials with metal particle fillers, with a tip in the shape of a cone, truncated cone, ogive or with flat sides. Also claimed is a revolver with chambers designed to receive such rounds.</p> |
