The invention relates to a pharmaceutical pre-formulation in the form of a solid, free-flowing dry extract of natural mixtures of conjugated equine estrogens. Suitable pre-formulations of said natural mixtures of conjugated equine estrogens are used for solid galenic forms e.g. tabletting. The conjugated estrogens are provided for further galenic processing in a form which ensures chemical stability of the hormones and which enables them to be processed advantageously into solid galenic forms, e.g. a tablet. The invention also relates to a method for the production of said pre-formulations in the form of a dry extract.
