ROTARY DISC FILTER AND MODULE FOR CONSTRUCTING SAME

A rotary disk filter (1) comprises a drum (2) which is rotatable about its central longitudinal axis. The rotary disk filter (1) is adapted to receive a liquid which is to be filtered. The rotary disk filter (1) com­prises at least one disk-shaped filter member (3) which on the outside of the drum (2) extends outwards in the transverse direction of the drum (2) and which has a filter support (11) and at least one filter portion (4) supported thereby. A first liquid duct extends from the drum (2) through the filter member (3) and out through the filter portion (4). The filter portion (4) is made of filter segments (13), which are detachably secured to the filter support (11). At least one second liquid duct extends between adjoining filter segments (13) to provide liquid communication between the filter segments (13). Moreover a module (12) for building a filter support (11) for a rotary disk filter (1) is described. The module (12) comprises two inner support portions (17) and two outer support portions (16) for at least partial enclosure of two adjoining filter segments (13), and an intermediate support portion (15) adapted to be arranged between the two adjoining filter segments (13).
