摘要 FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, production of steel strip used for manufacture of springy blocks for furniture industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves providing thermal processing, staged deformation and cooling of steel tape; before thermal processing, producing rolled wire of 6-8 mm size from steel comprising 0.40-0.60% of carbon, 0.3-0.6% of manganese, up to 0.02% of sulfur and up to 0.02% of phosphor; drawing rolled wire through drawing die; patenting in neutral gas atmosphere and producing wire of 4-7 mm diameter; flattening wire at ambient medium temperature by means of rolls to obtain tape with intermediate thickness of 2.0-2.6 mm and width of 9-12 mm and having tensile strength ςr of from 80 to 120 kg/mm2; annealing tape to tensile strength ςr of from 40 to 60 kg/mm2; providing repeated flattening at ambient medium temperature to final size, i.e., thickness of 0.9-1.4 mm and width of 10-14 mm, with tensile strength ςr of from 80 to 120 kg/cm2; heating in neutral gas medium to temperature of 800-1,0000C by drawing tape through furnace at speed of 6 m/min to 10 m/min and quenching in oil bath; tempering quenched tape while heating to temperature of 3500C with following cooling in air to provide for fine-grain pearlite structure with tensile strength ςr of from 130 to 170 kg/mm2 and Rockwell hardness of 40-50. ^ EFFECT: improved plastoelastic properties of strips or articles produced from flattened steel tape.
