FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in particular, to a method for preparing acetic acid an aqueous solution. Method involves the following stages. The capacity containing acetic acid as the parent raw is filled with water taken in the amount required for preparing acetic acid semihydrate. From bottom layer of the parent capacity is pumped out part of prepared acetic acid solution in amount that is required for preparing concentration of the end product. Then the second portion of water is added to provide mass part of acetic acid in the parent capacity 72-80% and then solution from bottom layer is pumped to working capacities. Method provides reducing fire hazard of technological process and diminishing concentration of acetic acid vapors in air of working zone. ^ EFFECT: improved preparing method. ^ 5 ex
