FOOT PATTERN MEASURING INSTRUMENT

A low-cost, compact foot pattern measuring instrument capable of not only obtaining a clear image of a sole shape to improve a measuring accuracy but improving a measuring efficiency to reduce burdens on a measuring worker and a person to be measured, and being simplified in device configuration. The measuring instrument comprises an imaging means (4) for imaging feet placed on a feet-placing transparent plate (6) from the rear surface side of the transparent plate (6) to measure sole shapes from the image information of the imaging means (4), and a light illuminating means (7) for introducing a first light from the outer peripheral-side end surface of the transparent plate and illuminating a second light different in color from the first light to the outer peripheral-side surface of the feet. The imaging means (4) concurrently picks up the ground-contacting sole portions illuminated by the first light and the sole outer peripheral edge portions illuminated by the second light.
