The stretch fabric (1) with zones of different elasticity, especially for brassieres, is formed in a strip with lace knitting of different stitches. The knitting of the different zones (a-c) is on a Jacquard Raschel machine including an elastane filament of Lycra(RTM). The fabric is further divided into main zones (A,B) dividing the multi-stretch sections on dividing lines (3). The elastane filaments are aligned parallel with the warps, and a number of knitted structures are formed along the wefts. The fabric is formed in a number of successive sections (2), each with a number of overlapping blanks.
