Use of at least one catechin polyphenol in a composition aiding natural pigmentation of the skin or skin eruptions or lesions (phaneres), where the composition is adapted for oral adminstration is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic process for improving natural pigmentation of the skin, mucous membrane, and/or phaneres (as defined above) of a subject, with a composition involving oral injestion of at least one polyphenol; (2) a cosmetic composition for oral use containing one or several polyphenols at a final concentration of 0.01-15% by volume and at least one pigmentant (sic). |
