PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate the concentration of a single component in fuel. SOLUTION: This fuel aspect estimating device for an internal combustion engine for estimating the concentration of a single component in fuel on the basis of an exhaust air-fuel ratio has a plurality of single-component concentration estimating means corresponding to a plurality of external turbulence factors which give influences to the exhaust air-fuel ratio. When the external turbulence factor is generated, an allowing condition is not satisfied by the single component concentration estimation allowing means corresponding to the generated external turbulence factor, and the estimation of the single-component concentration of the fuel is inhibited.
