The notebook or lap top computer has at least one heating element or film which warms or heats the sensitive parts of the computer such as the display or monitor and/or microchips or the entire apparatus if the temperature falls below a given value or if the sensitive parts are in danger from ice or frost. The computer includes at least one temperature sensor or a temperature measuring unit coupled to the heating element. Preferably the ambient temperature and/or the inner temperature of the notebook is measured.
