<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, system and program for providing a dish or drink, which enables to serve the next dish or drink so as to be matched to the progress of eating of an individual customer while reducing the personnel cost for waiters or waitresses. <P>SOLUTION: This method for providing a dish or drink in a restaurant comprises an imaging step for imaging the dish or drink present on a table in the restaurant, and an image information providing step for providing the image information taken by the imaging means to the store side as the information to be used for determining the timing of inquiring for an additional request of service from the store side to the customer side.
