PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid ejector comprising a liquid supply valve unit for regulating the pressure of liquid being supplied from a liquid storage means to a liquid ejection head in which bubbles in the liquid ejection head can be discharged easily. SOLUTION: Ink in an ink cartridge 33 mounted on the frame 22 of a printer 21 is supplied through a tube 38 to the valve unit 30 on a carriage 25. Ink from the valve unit 30 is supplied to a recording head 29 through a channel valve 31 and ejected. The channel valve 31 varies flow rate of ink from the valve unit 30 to the recording head 29 forcibly. When ink is sucked from the recording head 29 under closed state of the channel valve 31, volume of bubbles standing in the recording head 29 is increased.
