PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for updating data while maintaining consistency between the data and a replica even if at least one of terminal devices is a wireless terminal device, in a computer system including a server device storing the data and the plurality of terminal devices each storing the replica of the data. SOLUTION: A communication system has the server device storing the data, and the first and second terminal devices each storing the replica of the data. In the communication system, when a user directs update of the replica stored in the first terminal device, the data and the replica stored in the second terminal device are locked by the server device. The data and the replica stored in the second terminal device are updated by the server device on the basis of update contents of the replica stored in the first terminal device.
