PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pressure loss in a refrigerant passage, in a stator using a rectangular wire conductor as a lead wire of a coil. SOLUTION: Back teeth 12a of a plurality of split cores 11 which are connected in an annular form to form a stator are made equal in widths all around in the circumferential direction of the annulus except for a section where a tooth 12b is provided. A margin is given in a slot of an intersection between the back tooth 12a and the tooth 12b, and a first refrigerant passage 15a is provided on the side of the back teeth of a first winding 10a composed of a rectangular wire conductor, and a second refrigerant passage 15b is provided between the first winding 10a and the second winding.
