PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bending a long work highly precisely in high reproducibility which can not be realized by a conventional bending device by exploiting the character of a long work bending device using a bending head of a parallel link mechanism of six degrees of freedom. SOLUTION: This method using a movable die to be driven by a parallel link mechanism of six degrees of freedom comprises: a first step of stopping the feed of a work and setting the movable die to the initial position; a second step of feeding the movable die by a predetermined length synchronous to the feed of the same value of the work; a third step of stopping the feed of the work, and track-controlling the movable die to bend the work; and a fourth step of track-controlling the movable die in the opposite direction while the feed of the work is stopped, re-bending the work and returning to the first step.
