Device, for recovering water from atmospheric air (4), comprises an adsorbent (2) partially formed as a sole solution stored in a liquid storage device (13) with a hygroscopic salt for adsorption and absorption of water. The surface of the sole solution adsorbing and absorbing water is arranged on two opposite-lying sides of a wall of the liquid storage device. An independent claim is also included for a process for recovering water from atmospheric air using the above device.
