The method involves analyzing advance information for clear signal prior to release or transmission to the train, as the train approaches a section of track on a railroad line. The train is braked before reaching a danger point only when analyzed advance information is incorrect. The rate of release of the signal is dependent on the distance between the next point of signal and the danger point. An independent claim is also included for a railroad line protection apparatus.
