<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the warming up time of a fixing means of an image forming apparatus and to instruct the fixing means directly from an external data input device. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has a fixing control means for controlling the fixing means for fixing a toner image on a paper sheet by pressing and heating it.
