BIO-LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER AND MOLDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bio-liquid crystal polymer and to provide a molded product which are each an environmental circulation type and can be used in a variety of applications such as medical parts, electronic or electric parts and automotive parts.

SOLUTION: The bio-liquid crystal polymer is constituted with a polymer (represented by formula (1)) composed of 4-hydroxy cinnamic acid as a bio-resource and a lithocholic acid as another bio-resource, and with a polymer of 4-hydroxy cinnamic acid as the bio-resource and a caffeic acid as another bio-resource. According to these constitutions, it is possible to produce a polymer having high mechanical strengths and heat resistance.
