<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizer which effectively decomposes/deodorizes malodorous components. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizer satisfies formulas: P=α×ä2d/L×(2Z+R)+d+R}, wherein variables are given as follows; 0.9≤α≤1.1, 3 mm≤Z≤10 mm, where R is the outer diameter of a cylindrical light source (6), Z is the gap between the cylindrical light source (6) and a honeycomb photocatalyst carrier (5), d is the width of an opening of the honeycomb photocatalyst carrier (5), L is the thickness of the honeycomb photocatalyst carrier (5), and P is the pitch of the cylindrical light source (6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
