PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma panel comprising two plates having a sealed gap therebetween, in which the gap is filled with discharge gas, and is separated by arrays of barrier ribs into discharge cells enclosed between the plates, and at least two arrays of electrodes are formed so that one electrode of each array crosses over each cell. SOLUTION: The plasma panel comprises two plates having the sealed gap therebetween. The gap is filled with discharge gas, and is separated by the arrays of barrier ribs into the discharge cells. A barrier rib portion 3 separating any two abutting cells in the same column includes a pore 51 formed by the thickness of the rib 3, and a notch 4 for communicating the two cells each other through the pore 51.
