The part has a first straight tube section (2) for connection to a first vertical pipe, and a second tube section (3) opening into the first one via an opening section (4), for connection to a second horizontal pipe. The opening section is formed asymmetrical to a central plane of a T-shaped area containing longitudinal axis (6,7) of the two pipe sections. When the connection part is fitted, a main flow of material (13) passing through the opening section, flows at a distance to the central plane, and is in constant contact with an inner wall (11,10) of the connection part, which in this area has a slide coating. The part is of a plastic material, which has a sliding component increasing the gliding quality of the inner walls.
