<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap with a pen for dissolving the inconvenience that it is difficult for a user to take in/out a pen by one hand while the user is holding a personal digital assistant by the other hand, so that the pen may be dropped. <P>SOLUTION: One end of the strap with the pen is connected to a cap of the pen by using an attaching string in the personal digital assistant, and the other end is extended to pierce through a hole formed in the cap and connected to the pen. A knob for returning is attached to a loop part of the strap. When the pen 7 is used, the strap 1 is drawn out through the hole 5 as the pen 7 is pulled out of the cap 4, and the strap 1 is extended to a sufficient length for using the pen 7. When the pen 7 is not used, the strap 1 is returned to the loop form by pulling the knob 9, the tip 8 of the pen 7 is stored in a hole 5 and protected by the cap 4, and the loop part of the strap 1 is held.
