WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM USING OXIDATION DITCH METHOD AND WATER TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contract the installation area of a water treatment system using an oxidation ditch method as a whole by dispensing with a final sedimentation tank without lowering a sewage treatment capacity.

SOLUTION: A sludge circulating circuit is constituted between an oxidation ditch tank 1 and a membrane module 2 in which tubular membrane elements are housed. Sludge is circulated to the sludge circulating circuit and a part of the sludge is filtered while passing the sludge through the membrane module 2 at a relatively high speed to extract treated water. By this constitution, a high water treatment capacity can be obtained though the final sedimentation tank required in a conventional water treatment system using the oxidation ditch method is dispensed with.
