PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the signpost wherein the attribute information on the signpost laid under the ground is collected by use of the featuring ability to store various information in the signpost and to read out the stored information easily on the surface of the ground, even if it is difficult to locate the signpost because of weeds in the surroundings after the signpost has been left for a long period of time and buried in earth and sand etc., or it is impossible anymore to know clearly the setting purpose or the land proprietary. SOLUTION: The signpost laid under the ground with its upper face exposed to the surface of the earth side possesses built-in and non-contacting storage medium which which information in writen in and read from by non-contacting method from the exterior of the signpost.
