PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing metal from an acid and, more particularly, to provide a method for removing a metal from an acid by using an aluminum-deficient zeolite. SOLUTION: The aluminum-deficient zeolite is obtained by washing a natural or synthetic zeolite with a strong acid such as sulfuric acid to dissolve and remove an aluminum content. A metal is removed from an acid by membrane separation by forming a film of the aluminum-deficient zeolite onto a porous ceramic substrate or by packing the granules of the zeolite into a packing tower and passing the acid containing the metal through the packed granules.
