PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display in which a display part can be moved with any motive force except for manual moving. SOLUTION: When a motor 6 is rotated, a disk 7 is rotated, so that a display arm 3 is moved back and forth within a hole 2a. Thus, the display arm 3 having a display part 4 on its top is housed into the hole 2a of a rear arm 2 or extends from the rear arm 2. When resistant force equal with or more than a predetermined level is imparted in the case of driving the display arm 3, slipping occurs between the lateral side of the display arm 3 and the disk 7, so that the display arm 3 is not forcibly driven. When the motor 6 is driven to extend the display arm 3 from the rear arm 2, a state illustrated as (a) appears and when the motor 6 is driven to house the display arm 3 into the hole 2a of the rear arm 2, a state illustrated as (c) appears, so that the display part 4 completely gets out of a field of view.
