PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inkjet recording head in which acoustic resistance of an ink supply passage is increased without increasing inertance, and the ink supply passage is imparted with strength sufficient for preventing deformation in the manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording head is shaped to increase acoustic resistance without increasing inertance because the shape of the ink supply passage 18 has a significant effect on the ink drop ejection efficiency and the damping time of meniscus. Consequently, the groove-like ink supply passage 18 has a rectangular cross-section of height H (about 30μm) and width D (about 140μm) and has length L (about 320μm). Precision of the height H influences most on the acoustic resistance and inertance but it can be machined with high precision because the height H is the thickness of an ink supply plate 30. On the contrary, the width D and length L of the ink supply passage 18 cannot be machined with high precision because it is bored by etching, but since the width D and length L are large, machining precision thereof does not influence significantly on the acoustic resistance and inertance and does not cause a problem.
