<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for a blue ink jet recording which has a color shade with high clarity suitable for the ink jet recording, and a strong fastness of a record, and besides, excellent storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for the ink jet recording comprises in a form of a free acid, a water-soluble phenazine compound represented by formula (1), (wherein X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a chlorine atom, a carboxy group or a sulfo group; Y<SB>1</SB>is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or a substituted alkyl group; in an NHA group, A is a hydrogen atom, a β-sulfatethyl sulfonyl group, a pyrimidylcarbonyl group, a pyridazinecarbonyl group, a quinoxalinecarbonyl group, a pyrimidinyl group, etc., or a triazinyl group or pyridinyl group having a halogen atom). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
