<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book system capable of providing a publishing company with the reading conditions of readers as a lot of accurate marketing information by recording them in an electronic book portable terminal and obtaining the reading conditions by a communication means. <P>SOLUTION: In an electronic book portable terminal provided with a storage device for storing a plurality of digital books, a communication means for fetching the digital book, an input means operated by a reader and a display device for having the reader read the digital book, and an online electronic book server provided with the storage device for storing many digital books and a communication means for distributing the digital book to the electronic book portable terminal by the operation of the reader operating the electronic book portable terminal, after the reader downloads the book from the online electronic book server to the electronic book portable terminal, the electronic book portable terminal automatically records the reading conditions while the reader reads and reports the reading conditions to the publishing company by the communication means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
