<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a person in charge of selling to surely grasp a discountable sum for each merchandise in business negotiation with a guest. <P>SOLUTION: This selling supporting device 11 is connected through communicating means 13 and 14 to a host device 12 for storing at least the selling price and discountable information of merchandise for each merchandise. When merchandise data to be sold to a guest are inputted from a merchandise inputting means such as a touch panel or scanner, the discountable information of the data-inputted merchandise is acquired from the host device 12 through the communicating means 13 and 14.
