<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display for image data of low input rates which produces neither flicker nor ghost and needs a small memory capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The display compresses and codes right and left parallax image data, stores the compressed image data in a frame memory, reads the right eye compressed image data and the left eye compressed image data corresponding to the same display gate line by one gate line each, decodes the read data, and displays the right and left input parallax images for one time each as right and left alternate fields in one frame period a multiple of times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
